Dr. David Cornblath received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University. He completed his internship in medicine at University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio followed by a residency in neurology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He then became Clinical Fellow of the Muscular Dystrophy Association in the Peripheral Nerve Morphology Laboratory also at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Now a Professor of Neurology at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Cornblath focuses on neuromuscular diseases with special emphasis on peripheral neuropathies. He has participated in a wide range of clinical studies – from Phase 1 to 4 – including Guillain-Barre syndrome, chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropahthy, ALS, neuromuscular diseases associated with HIV infection, diabetic neuropathy, neurotrophins in neuropathy and painful neuropathies.

Dr. Cornblath is a member of the scientific board of the GBS Foundation International and is chair of one of the Hopkins Institutional Review Boards.

Dr. Cornblath currently sees patients at The Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center located in Baltimore on Tuesday mornings.
