Eileen M. Bohan is a senior program coordinator for the Neurosurgical Oncology Program at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. She has worked in the Department of Neurosurgery for 27 years, and has specialized in brain tumors for the past 20 years, working closely with the director of neurosurgery, Dr. Henry Brem.
Ms. Bohan received bachelor degrees in both sociology and nursing from New York University. She is a member of the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses and the Oncology Nursing Society. Additionally, Ms. Bohan is a member of the New Approaches to Brain Tumor Therapy (NABTT) Consortium, funded by the National Institutes of Health. She is also a Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (CNRN).
Ms. Bohan has extensive speaking experience, including presentations at a number of national and regional meetings of the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses and the Oncology Nursing Society. She has published articles and book chapters on the neurosurgical management of and new treatments for brain tumors.
Ms. Bohan currently sees patients on Thursdays in the Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center located at The Johns Hopkins Hospital downtown Baltimore campus.
