Deanna Glass-Macenka is a program coordinator for the Neurosurgical Oncology Program at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. She has worked in the Department of Neurosurgery for 13 years, and has specialized in brain tumors for the past 9 years, working closely with the director of the brain tumor program, Dr. Alessandro Olivi.
Mrs. Glass-Macenka received bachelor degree in nursing from the University of Maryland. She is a member of the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses and is also a Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (CNRN). Additionally, Mrs. Glass-Macenka is a member of the New Approaches to Brain Tumor Therapy (NABTT) Consortium, funded by the National Institutes of Health.
Mrs. Glass-Macenka has extensive speaking experience, including presentations at a number of national and regional meetings of the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses. She has published several articles on the neurosurgical management of and new treatments for brain tumors.
Mrs. Glass-Macenka currently sees patients on Tuesdays in the Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center located at The Johns Hopkins Hospital downtown Baltimore campus.
