Co-Director, Hand Surgery Service

Dr. Gene Deune is a plastic surgeon with expertise in hand surgery, carpal tunnel syndrome, tendinitis, arthritis, hand tumors, and congenital hand and finger anomalies.

Dr. Deune received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1989 followed by three years of residency training in general surgery at Washington University in St. Louis. He then completed two years of fellowship in Plastic Surgery and an additional fellowship year for Hand and Microsurgery, also at Washington University.
