Dr. David Zee received his medical degree from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed residency training in Neurology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and pursued additional clinical training at the National Institutes of Health.
Dr. Zee is a Professor of Neurology with secondary appointments in Otolaryngology -- Head and Neck Surgery, Ophthalmology, and Neuroscience. Dr. Zee specializes in vertigo, dizziness and imbalance (including ataxia) and in disorders of eye movements (including nystagmus and strabismus).
Dr. Zee's research interest is learning and adaptation -- how does the brain (and especially the cerebellum) compensate for disease, and how can compensation be promoted. Dr. Zee is also the director of the Vestibular/Eye Movement Testing Laboratory at Johns Hopkins.
Dr. Zee currently sees patients at the Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center in Baltimore on Fridays.
