Dr. Sevil Yasar received her medical degree from the Semmelweis Medical University, Budapest, Hungary. She then completed her internal medicine training at Greater Baltimore Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Clinical and Research Geriatric Medicine at The Johns Hopkins University.

Now an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Yasar’s clinical work focuses on diagnosis and treatment of memory disorders with or without gait problems, with a special interest in adult hydrocephalus.

Dr. Yasar’s research focuses on investigating, identifying and developing new pharmacological targets to prevent and treat dementia using the tools of clinical trials, epidemiology, and basic science.
