Rorbert Hoesch received his MD and PhD from University of Maryland in 2004. Following an internship in the Osler Medicine Program at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Dr. Hoesch completed a residency in Neurology, also at Johns Hopkins.
Now an Assistant Professor of Neurology, Dr. Hoesch is a Neuro-hospitalist whose primary responsibility is caring for patients admitted to the general Neurology and adult Hydrocephalus services. He is also pursuing advanced training in Neurological Critical Care.
Dr. Hoesch conducts research focused on the neurobiology of motor learning. The ultimate aim of this research is to develop new therapies for recovery of motor function after neurological injury, such as stroke.
