In order to preserve brain function during surgery, the neurosurgeon will use advanced intraoperative neurophysiological testing, such as:

  • Sub-sensory evoked potentials
  • Motor-sensory evoked potentials
    • Brainstem auditory evoked potentials (BAEP)
    • Visual evoked potentials (VEP)
    • Somatosensory-evoked potentials (SSEP)
  • Mapping for motor-cortex
