Fees to use the Microscope Facility
effective July 1, 2012 - June 30, 2013 (FY13)
It has been 5 years since we last raised rates for members and their unassisted use of equipment (self-use). Unfortunately, all our costs, particularly maintenance costs, have increased. Hence, we have increased all rates an average of 10% this fiscal year. To soften the effect for member labs, their membership fees will stay at last year's rates and will only increase to new rates at their anniversary renewal during the fiscal year (FY13). Next fiscal year, please anticipate another, but much smaller rate increase. The FY13 rates effective July 1, 2012 (prior rates) are listed below.
Payment arrangements for Facility services must be established in advance. Typically, a single account is used for charging expenses from an entire lab group, generating monthly billing statements.
