Informational Links
1) National Center for Complementary
and Alternative Medicine.
This site is run by the NCCAM (National Center for Complementary and Alternative
Medicine). It is government sponsored and the purpose of this site is
to provide understanding of complementary and alternative medicine. Under
the Health Information link, you can discover and understand complementary
and alternative medicine. There are links to treatments and therapies
that may be used as well as classification of what sort of treatment would
be best for which disease. All sources are government oriented along with
all clinical trials.

2) The Alternative Medicine Homepage.
This is a place where the unconventional, unorthodox, unproven, or alternative,
complementary, innovative, integrative therapies meet. Given any disease
that could cause death, wouldn't every person want to try all that was
available to increase life span? This site deals with links connected
to AIDS/HIV. It has a large database of other links that are interesting.

3) Alternative Medicine Home
As the website claims, this is the internet's largest database of alternative
medical information. Under the therapies link, there is a large listing
of types of alternative and complementary therapies from acupuncture to
yoga. If you click on the individual link, you get a concise definition
of what the type of therapy you have chosen is. There are further links
below that to find out more information about that certain therapy.

4) The Richard and Hinda Rosenthal Center for
Complementary and Alternative Medicine
The purpose of this site and center is to contribute to the informed research
and practice of complementary and alternative medicine and to foster the
development of a more comprehensive and inclusive medical system. This
site has a goal to serve as an internationally known and respected resource
for information about complementary and alternative therapies, for a broad
range of constituencies. It is good for linking to other websites that
will give you the basic information you need. I am sure this is a reliable
source to find out information on alternative and complementary medicine
because it is sponsored by a well-known university.

5) Ask NOAH About: Complementary and Alternative
Medicine
This is a site about the therapies that are by definition alternatives
to, or outside the scope of, generally accepted medical standards of care.
It serves to explain the effectiveness of some of these treatments that
has been proven by scientific evidence, while limited or no research data
exists to support other treatments. Again this is a site that is also
a database to other sites. It mostly links to the number 1 site I have
chosen.
