Medicine is a very potent word. The dictionary claims medicine as a science which relates to the prevention, cure, or alleviation of disease and other damage to the body or mind. The branch of this science encompassing treatment by drugs, diet, exercise, and other nonsurgical means. Any substance administered in the treatment of disease; a remedial agent; a remedy. This is the individual meaning that specifically relates to the use of the word “medicine” when referring to Chinese Medicine. Often Chinese Medicine is referred to as "TCM" or Traditional Chinese Medicine. Most of the sites I have found overlap into other categories. I will not be cross-listing the sites.
