The birthplace of Chinese Medicine itself. Many of the colleges offer programs to foriegn students. Students of China can get a bachelors, masters or Ph.D of Chinese Medicine.


Beijing Medical University
The university offers a full range of courses in modern medicine, pharmacy, public health, stomatology and nursing. The specialties include basic medical sciences, clinical medicine, preventive medicine, stomatological medicine, pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, nursing, health administration, psychiatry and mental health, medical laboratory diagnosis, and maternal and child care, The university now has 33 accredited Doctor programs and 53 Master programs. The undergraduate programs in BMU are five-year. The university also offers seven-year programs in clinical medicine and stomatological medicine for students who study for a combined Master degree.

Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine
The Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,one of the earliest 4 estabished TCM Universites in China ,was set up in 1956. It is one of the key Universites in Sichuan. Now the University has a College of Basic Medicine,a College of Clinical Medicine,a College of Pharmacy, a College of Acupuncture & Moxibustion, an International College,a Continuous Education College,and the Dept. of Social Sciences.There are 2,100 teaching staffs,including 320 professors and associate professors; 2,500 students, including 250 postgraduates and foreign students.

Shanghai Medical University
The university has a staff of 9,000 personnel, among whom are 1,300 professors and associate professors, 2 academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and 3 academicians of Chinese Academy of Engineering, 171 supervisors of doctorate candidates and 347 tutors of Master's program students. Some 5,000 full-time students study in the university, including 1,000 postgraduates and 80 foreign students.
