Our experts at the Johns Hopkins Medicine Liver Tumor Center use a multidisciplinary approach for the treatment of liver cancer, benign liver tumors, bile duct cancer, gallbladder cancer and other liver-related diseases. Our physicians are at the forefront of treating liver disease, both with liver surgery and other techniques, like ablation.
We use innovative techniques, such as helping the liver grow prior to an operation (portal vein embolization), so patients who previously were not good candidates for tumor removal may be considered for the procedure. Further, our surgeons are experts on surgically treating cases of colon cancer that have metastasized to the liver.
Watch a webinar about treatment options for liver cancer and cancer that has spread to the liver.
