Lifeline: Specialty Team Transports

Specialty team transports are completed by the Lifeline staff.  These specialty team transports include Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps (IABP), Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD) and other special transport situations that require sophisticated monitoring and interventional invasive devices.  These tranports can be accomplished within the hospital (Intra-facility) as well as outside the hospital on inter-facility transports.

The Lifeline Transport Team members receive specialized training on each of these devices and participate in competency and skills training every six months.
