The Cancer Functional Imaging Core integrates state-of-the art, noninvasive imaging capabilities to advance the translational research mission of Kimmel Cancer Center. The Core has significantly expanded in recent years and now includes an:
- Olympus multi-photon microscope for in vivo imaging
- LI-COR Pearl imager
- SuperArgus PET/CT scanner
- Vector SPECT/PET scanner
These are in addition to the existing:
- 9.4T Bruker horizontal bore MR scanner
- Kodak and Xenogen optical imaging systems
- Gamma-Medica CT/SPECT
- Argus PET imaging system
- VisualSonics ultrasound imaging system.
The Core facilities offer advanced small animal imaging capabilities and techniques that provide imaging data in small animals used to develop translational applications in humans.
