Evaluation of Serum Free Light Chains and Clonal Ig DNA in Plasma from Patients with Aggressive B-cell Lymphomas
To estimate the amount of patients with different types of blood and tumor markers and to see if these correlate to how well a patient does in treatment.
-Must be at least 18 years old - Must be HIV positive and have a diagnosis of untreated aggressive B-cell lymphoma - Must be willing to have a fine needle aspiration/biopsy if there is not enough tumor sample available
5 tubes of blood will be collected at time of diagnosis and/or prior to beginning treatment of the lymphoma. Samples of the tumor obtained at diagnosis will also be sampled and, if these samples are unavailable, patient will undergo a fine needle aspiration/biopsy to obtain samples. The study is concluded at this time.
