NCCN will be holding its second policy summit of 2014 on the topic “The Impact of Health Care Reform on Academic Oncology Practice” on July 10th at the Westin Arlington Gateway in Arlington, Virginia. Much of the discussion, regarding health care reform and implications for cancer care delivery to date has focused on the impact on community oncology practice, with much less attention being paid to the impact on academic cancer centers and the patients they serve. During this Summit, there will be two sessions, each one beginning with a keynote presentation that addresses the intended impact of the law and the anticipated effects and effects actually being experienced by academic cancer centers, followed by a roundtable panel discussion.
