Each year the Sarcoma program holds an annual "Finish Sarcoma" walk that raises awareness and funding for the Sarcoma Program at the Kimmel Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins.  Save the date for this year's walk, which will be held on October 7, 2012 at  Western Regional Park in Woodbine, Maryland.

Sarcoma is a type of cancer that affects the bones and soft tissues such as muscles. While rare in adults, it is one of the most common cancers in children.  Johns Hopkins is one of the leading centers in the country treating sarcoma. Last year’s event raised $25,000 with 300 participants. The monies raised from last year’s event supported sarcoma researchers at Johns Hopkins, continue their search for innovative, new treatment options for children and adults with sarcoma.
