1st Annual Zaching Against Cancer 5K
WHEN: September 20
WHERE: Howard County Fairgrounds - To Kick off the Woodstoc ROC festival
The 1st annual ZACHING AGAINST CANCER 5K will be held on September 20, at the Howard County Fairgrounds. The 5K will kickoff the Woodstoc ROC festival that brings together music, food and fun to raise money for cancer related charities. Admission to Woodstock Roc is included in the 5K registration. This event honors the memory of f Zachary Lederer and all proceeds will benefit the Zaching Against Cancer Foundation, a non-profit organization established to provide support to cancer patients and their support networks including cancer research, patient expenses, and college scholarships.

The 22nd Annual Outback Steakhouse Charity Golf Tournament
When: Monday October 13
Registration begins at 9:00 a.m.
Where: Turf Valley Golf Course in Ellicott City
Price: $1,250 a Team of Five/ $250 per person
** Special Incentive** Teams that register and pay before August 20, 2014 will receive a 10% discount.
This amateur golf tournament is one-of- a- kind and promises fun and excitement! Over 350 golfers enjoy Outback Steakhouse food and hospitality on two beautiful courses. Teams consist of five players. Player fee includes greens fees for 18 holes of golf, cart fees, a personal cart liaison, a commemorative gift, and food and beverages throughout the day. When rounds are completed, golfers enjoy an Aussie dinner (more food!) and an Awards ceremony. Prizes are awarded to winning teams and individuals. Participants are also able to bid for impressive silent auction items.
Competition is friendly and fun, while the ultimate goal remains to help children fight cancer.
