Breast Cancer Program

The Breast Cancer Program at Johns Hopkins is made up of a diverse group of nationally-recognized specialists in breast cancer research and treatment. Led by Vered Stearns, M.D., and Sara Sukumar, Ph.D, physician-scientists in the breast cancer program are studying new ways to treat breast cancer, including treatment that is tailored to the unique makeup of each individual patient. They are also developing innovative clinical trials, and helping survivors. Our medical oncologists and radiation oncologists work closely with surgeons, plastic surgeons, radiogists, and other specialists within the Johns Hopkins Avon Foundation Breast Center

The Johns Hopkins Avon Foundation Breast Center, is a multidisciplinary breast care program, offering a full spectrum of clinical and support services, from screening and diagnosis to treatment and counseling. The Breast Center provides innovative, integrated, high quality and cost-effective care.  It’s state-of-the-art technology and highly-skilled medical professionals are internationally recognized. Patients who visit the Breast Center have access to the most advanced tests and therapies available anywhere.
