Patty Brown
President
Patricia M.C. Brown, Esq., is President of Johns Hopkins HealthCare LLC and Senior Counsel for The Johns Hopkins Health System. As President of Johns Hopkins HealthCare LLC, a managed care organization owned by the Johns Hopkins Health System and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, she is responsible for the administration of all Johns Hopkins managed care products for 200,000 individuals enrolled in self-funded employer, Medicaid, and Department of Defense health benefit plans. Ms. Brown is also responsible for integrating and coordinating managed care contracting, payer, and market strategy for all Johns Hopkins Medicine entities, including The Johns Hopkins Hospital, The Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Howard County General Hospital, The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and the Johns Hopkins Community Physicians. Finally, as Senior Counsel to the Johns Hopkins Health System, Ms. Brown provides legal advice in the areas of managed care and regulatory compliance.
Ms. Brown is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Richmond and has a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Baltimore. Prior to joining Hopkins in 1994, Ms. Brown was an Assistant Attorney General with the Maryland Office of the Attorney General, Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, serving as counsel to the Maryland Medical Assistance Program, the Maryland Health Resources Planning Commission and the Maryland Board of Dental Examiners. Ms. Brown was an adjunct professor teaching Health Care Law at the University of Baltimore from 1992 to 1995; past Chairperson of the Health Law Section of the Maryland State Bar Association; and past trustee of the Maryvale Preparatory School and the Glenwood Life Center, Inc. In 2001, Ms. Brown was named one of the Top 100 Women by the Daily Record, Baltimore, Maryland, and was a recipient of the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland Distinguished Women’s Award in 2007.
Actively involved in community activities, Ms. Brown is currently on the Executive committee of the Board of Directors of the United Way of Central Maryland, and previously served as Co-Chair for the 2004 and 2005 United Way Women’s Initiative as well as Co-Chair for the 2004-2006 Co-Chair for the Johns Hopkins Medicine United Way Campaign. Ms. Brown is also currently a Board member and Treasurer of the Listening Hearts Ministries, and is co-chairing the alumnae division of a $12 million capital campaign for her high school alma mater, Maryvale Preparatory School. A Severna Park, Maryland resident, Ms. Brown is married to Joseph P. Gill, Principal Counsel, Department of Natural Resources, Office of the Attorney General, and has 2 step-children.

Jeff Joy
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Joy is Chief Operating Officer of Johns Hopkins HealthCare LLC, a managed care subsidiary of Johns Hopkins Medicine covering 185,000 lives. In this role, Mr. Joy is responsible for the operations, information systems, network, and quality of the plan. Mr. Joy joined Johns Hopkins HealthCare in 2005. He has brought significantly improved cost, quality and service results to the organization and is currently focused on redefining the relationship between insurers, primary care providers, specialists and hospitals.
Prior to joining Johns Hopkins Healthcare, Mr. Joy held various leadership positions at CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield and it’s subsidiaries, including VP of Operations, and Chairman of the Corporate Initiative Committee. He has worked within healthcare for 20 years across a variety of delivery models.
Mr. Joy is currently vice chair of Baltimore Chesapeake Outward Bound and holds degrees from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Johns Hopkins University. He has performed additional coursework at the University of Chicago and M.I.T. and is a graduate of the Center for Creative Leadership.

Mary Cooke
VP, USFHP Administration
Mary Cooke is Vice President of the Johns Hopkins US Family Health Plan, a military managed health care plan, sponsored by the Department of Defense and available to eligible military retirees and active duty family members. Ms. Cooke is responsible for the strategic, financial, contractual, and administrative leadership of the US Family Health Plan.
Ms. Cooke joined the Johns Hopkins Health System in 1989, and has held various clinical and leadership positions within JHHS in areas such as emergency care, primary care, quality and risk management, health care operations, and contract negotiations. She represents Johns Hopkins on the US Family Health Plan Alliance Board of Directors.
Ms. Cooke received her Bachelors of Arts Degree from the State University of New York at Albany, and her Master of Science Degree from Central Michigan University. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Health Policy and Administration.

Robert Neall
VP, Program Management; CEO, Priority Partners
Robert R. Neall, CEO of Priority Partners MCO has served in that capacity since September 2004. Prior to joining the JHHC team, Mr. Neall has worked for The Johns Hopkins Health System in a variety of roles going back to 1987. He has also held elective office, serving in the Maryland House of Delegates from 1975-1987, as County Executive of Anne Arundel County from 1990-1994 and in the Senate of Maryland from 1996-2003.
A native of Anne Arundel County, he attended local public schools and gradated from Anne Arundel Community College and the University of Maryland. He resides in Davidsonville and has four grown children and six grandchildren.

Chet Schmidt, MD
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Chester (Chet) Schmidt is currently the Chief Medical Officer of Johns Hopkins HealthCare, LLC, as well as the professor of psychiatry at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and co-founder of the Sexual Behavior Consultation Unit of the Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Dr. Schmidt received his undergraduate degree, medical degree, residency training and fostered his faculty career at the Johns Hopkins University and Johns Hopkins Hospital. He was the Director of the Department of Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for 35 years and President of the first Hopkins Faculty Practice Plan for 25 years. His clinical research interests have included the study of suicide, personality factors associated with substance abuse, Health Administration, Health Economics. Dr. Schmidt has published numerous journal articles, book chapters and several books.

Maryann Corkran
VP, Information Systems
Maryann Corkran joined Johns Hopkins Healthcare in 2004 as the Director of Decision Support. In 2005, she was promoted to Vice President of Information Systems retaining all her Decision Support Departmental responsibilities and folding them under the Information Systems Department umbrella which includes all network, infrastructure, telecom and application software support for JHHC.
Prior to coming to JHHC, Maryann has worked over 25 years in the Healthcare Information Systems support primarily in acute care facilities. Maryann received her MBA from Loyola College in 2006 and holds degrees from Towson University (MS) and the University of Maryland (BS).

Mike Larson
Chief Financial Officer
Michael Larson, CPA, Chief Financial Officer for Johns Hopkins HealthCare, directs the Finance Department which includes all activities related to budgeting and financial analysis. Mr. Larson is also responsible for the accuracy of the financial statements for Johns Hopkins HealthCare. Mr. Larson is also the Corporate Controller for the Johns Hopkins Health System, responsible for the financial reporting, finance policies and procedures, internal controls, and tax compliance for the Johns Hopkins Health System and affiliates.
Mr. Larson received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the Pennsylvania State University, and also a Master of Business Administration degree in Financial Management from Drexel University. Mr. Larson has over 28 years of public accounting and healthcare experience.

Linda Dunbar
VP, of Care Management
Linda Dunbar, Vice President of Care Management for Johns Hopkins HealthCare, directs the departments of Utilization Management, Case and Disease Management and Behavioral Health Care. Since 1997, she has designed and implemented care management programs for a variety of diagnoses including HIV/AIDS, cardiovascular disease, high-risk obstetrics, diabetes, and asthma for the Johns Hopkins Medicine managed care members. Successful programs have been implemented for Medicaid recipients, TriCare members, and commercial insurers as well as self-insured employers.
Linda received a B.S. in Nursing from Towson University and a M.S. and PhD in Nursing and Health Policy from the University of Maryland. Her doctoral research explored the use of predictive models in populations of children with special health care needs. She was Director of Nursing at a pediatric hospital in Baltimore for eight years prior to coming to Johns Hopkins HealthCare.

Keith Vander Kolk
VP, Johns Hopkins Employer Health Programs (EHP)
Keith Vander Kolk is Vice President, of Employer Health Programs at Johns Hopkins HealthCare and has 20 years of experience in the health care industry, both in the managed care and acute care settings. Prior to joining Johns Hopkins, Keith served as the Vice President, Business Development for the Iowa Foundation for Medical Care, West Des Moines, Iowa; Executive Vice President, Calvert Health Partners, Baltimore, MD; and Chief Operating Officer, Sierra Military Health Services, Baltimore, MD, serving 1.2 million active duty, dependents, and retirees of the military and uniformed services in a 13-state region. Keith’s acute care experience includes Administrator of a rural hospital in the Midwest, establishment and construction of a free-standing cancer treatment center, and Administrator of a 30-physician family practice residency program.
Keith graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.B.A in Finance, an M.A. in Hospital and Health Administration, and an M.B.A. He and his wife, Tanya, have lived in Severna Park, MD for over 10 years and have four children.
