Research at Johns Hopkins Bayview

As a Johns Hopkins Medicine academic medical center, a major portion of the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center’s 130-acre campus is dedicated to medical research that advances the science and promise of medicine, including the National Institutes of Health’s 573,000 square-foot Biomedical Research Center, where scientists conduct research on aging.

Johns Hopkins Bayview has a history of research excellence, and its current programs uphold that tradition of investigative quality. Programs like the Aliki Initiative, which trains medical residents to be attentive to their patients’ individual needs, the Miller-Coulson Academy of Clinical Excellence, which recognizes physicians who elevate both their medical practice and the communities they serve, and the research COREs, which provide consulting and support for research initiatives, are only a few of the advances Johns Hopkins Bayview’s scientists have labored to develop.
