Sports Medicine

The Johns Hopkins Bayview Orthopaedic Clinic has sports medicine surgeons with extensive experience working with professional athletes, recreational athletes and people who engage in general fitness programs.

Our comprehensive medical professional team guides patients from their initial assessment all the way through recovery and rehabilitation. Nurse practitioners and physician assistants work with patients in a variety of ways including soft tissue pain management, minor sprains and inflammation. Specialized surgeons address more severe injuries such as knee ligament tears or other injuries requiring surgery. Physical therapists are available to help recovering patients as they work to get up and running again. Stationed together in the new ambulatory care center, these caregivers have quick access to each other, leading to more efficient and effective injury treatment.
