Wound Center

At the Johns Hopkins Wound Healing Center, we have the expertise to properly diagnose the etiology of the wound and treat it accordingly. Our scope of care includes the treatment of wounds at any part of the body, including lower extremities, abdominal and sacral. We also treat wounds caused by diabetes, vascular disease (arterial, venous, lymphatic, vasculitis), radiation, trauma, burns and pressure.

Our goal is not only to heal chronic wounds, but also to preserve limbs and prevent wound recurrence. Our experienced nursing staff teaches prevention, coordinates care between specialties, and monitors wounds (size, depth, appearance), as well as nutritional status and control of diabetes.

In addition to wound care, our certified ostomy nursing staff provides a full range of services to patients with stoma.
