The ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Residency Program at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, established in 2002, has consistently played an integral role in the promotion of pharmacy services, expansion of clinical programs, interdisciplinary collaboration for the patients, the Health System and the Johns Hopkins Bayview community. The program has expanded over the years, and strong professional relationships have been developed with the other Johns Hopkins Medicine residency programs and area colleges of pharmacy. These relationships foster professional growth and strengthen post-graduate training that incorporate pharmacy practice model initiatives.
The Pharmacy Residency Program focuses on patient care, education and research, which are hallmarks of the mission shared by Johns Hopkins Medicine. The program has received national recognition from ASHP, with an expansion grant to further grow an already successful program. Residents have graduated and become leaders in oncology, critical care, ambulatory care and internal medicine with premier medical centers across the country.
