Education and Training at Johns Hopkins Bayview

As an academic teaching hospital, educating generations of medical professionals is essential to the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. All of our physicians are full-time faculty of The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

We provide a supportive environment to help students and house staff become leaders in primary care, general internal medicine, geriatric medicine and other medical subspecialties.

Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center is located on the eastern edge of Baltimore city in the Highlandtown neighborhood. There are several opportunities for School of Medicine students, residents, fellows, graduate students and post-docs to visit and learn at the 130-acre campus.

The Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center is a committed leader in faculty development. We offer several programs to physicians interested in professional development, including the Faculty Development Program, which offers tuition remission for full-time Hopkins faculty who also are Johns Hopkins University employees, continuing education credit available for all courses, and the Osler Center for Clinical Excellence, which is devoted to building patient-focused systems of care. Faculty are also available for consultation, development and implementation of special programs and workshops tailored to the needs of your division, department or institution.
