Cheryl Koch, MS, RD, FAND, LDN

Vice President, Operations and Facilities

A 20-plus-year veteran of Johns Hopkins Bayview, Cheryl Koch, MS, RD, FAND, LDN, serves as the vice president of  operations and facilities at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. She oversees Medical Center operations, including providing support for addiction treatment services, ambulatory services, psychiatry services, imaging services and laboratory services, as well as facilities engineering, campus design and construction, clinical engineering, environmental health, safety and sustainability, emergency management and capital administration. Cheryl also manages food services, clinical nutrition and dietetic education programs across the Johns Hopkins Health System. 

As a registered dietitian, Cheryl has held a variety of roles at Johns Hopkins Bayview since 1993. In her current role, she has focused on integration of services in strategic areas, such as supply chain and facilities. Committed to nutrition education, she has established a two dietetic internship programs at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, in partnership with The Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. She has previously served as a site visitor for the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetic Education and on the advisory board of the University of Maryland Dietetic Internship program.

Cheryl values the profession of dietetics and has been an active member of both the Maryland and American Dietetic Association for over 22 years. She has held several positions (including president) within the Maryland Dietetic Association, and has served on numerous national committees. She is a fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Society of Healthcare Engineers.

During her tenure at the Medical Center, Cheryl also has led a number of fund-raising initiatives, including the campaigns for United Way and Juvenile Diabetes.
