Operating Room Services

All major surgical procedures for children are performed in the general operating rooms. The operating room nursing staff, anesthesiologists and surgeons are specially trained to work with children of all ages. There is at least one registered nurse and a pediatric anesthesiologist assigned to every patient in the operating room. One adult (parent, guardian or relative) is allowed to accompany the child into the operating room until the child has fallen asleep from the anesthesia medicine.
