Call for Abstracts: JH Postdoctoral Association's 1st Annual Poster Session

Did you miss the call for abstracts for the 3rd Annual JHPDA Scientific Seminar Series? Or did you not have enough data in December to submit an abstract to the 3rd Annual JHPDA Scientific Seminar Series, but now after 5 months of hard work have enough for a poster?

Would you accept $250 if you win first prize for a poster, and do you like Wine and Cheese while discussing results?

If you answered YES or partially yes to at least one of these questions, the following event is for you!!!!!!!!!

If you answered NO to all these questions, please consider this event anyway.

The Johns Hopkins Post-Doctoral Association (JHPDA) will hold its 1st Annual Poster Session, 24th of June 2009.

This 1st Annual Poster Session will be held in conjunction with a Wine and Cheese Reception during which Post-Doctoral fellows will have an opportunity to showcase their work and the winners of the 3rd Annual JHPDA Scientific Seminar Series will be announced.

We are now soliciting abstract submissions from Post-Doctoral Fellows throughout the School of Medicine. The authors of the top abstracts (as judged by the JHPDA executive council whose members are not participating in the competition) will be invited to present their work on the 24th of June 2009.

Awards totaling $925 will be distributed among two categories: Clinical research and Basic/Translational Research (1st prize each $250 and 2nd prize each $100, 3rd prize each $75, people's choice $75). The abstract should appeal to an interdisciplinary audience from across the entire School of Medicine. If you have submitted an abstract for the 3rd Annual JHPDA Scientific Seminar Series, please note that this event is a new competition and you need to submit an abstract to be considered for the poster session (submission of abstracts that were previously entered for the JHPDA Scientific Seminar Series competition is encouraged).

For abstract submission forms, please contact postdoc@jhmi.edu. Completed abstract submission forms should be emailed to postdoc@jhmi.edu by Friday, May 8, 2009
