The Johns Hopkins Postdoctoral Association (JHPDA) was formed in 1992 to improve the daily life and morale of fellows at The Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions (JHMI). The JHPDA consists entirely of postdoctoral fellows and since 1994 has been officially recognized by the University.
The major role of the JHPDA is to bring the concerns of clinical and research fellows at JHMI to the attention of the Administration for constructive changes in the research environment for an enriching and positive postdoctoral experience at JHMI. In addition, JHPDA sponsors various events to facilitate the social integration and career development of clinical and research fellows.
