The Johns Hopkins Hospital is carefully examing all of its business practices to ensure that we can accommodate the significant costs associated with occupancy of the new clinical buildings and hold our competitive position alongside other academic medical centers.

Part of our efforts will include carefully evaluating every vacant and new position for the potential to save the organization dollars.  The Position Review Process aims to reduce the rate of growth of our labor costs.

Before approving any vacant and new positions in your department, supervisors and managers are now encouraged to evaluate these positions and open carefully before approving them.  Please refer to the Hiring Guidelines - Flowchart below to determine which vacancies need to be reviewed by an Executive Review Team.  If your vacancy needs review, please complete the Justification to Fill Form and return to Career Services.
