Rated best hospital in the nation year after year for excellence in every specialty, this flagship of Hopkins Medicine includes such renowned centers as the Brady Urological Institute, the Wilmer Eye Institute, the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center and Heart Institute. Drawing patients from around the world, Hopkins Hospital also provides more charity care than any other hospital in Baltimore. Its nurses have achieved coveted Magnet Status.  Located across from the hospital and connected to it by an underground concourse, the Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center includes facilities for diagnostic testing and imaging and outpatient surgery.

This full-service, community teaching hospital is home to one of Maryland’s most comprehensive neonatal intensive care units, a sleep disorders center, an area-wide trauma center, the state’s only regional burn center, and geriatrics programs that enjoy a national reputation in the field of aging. A state-ofthe-art outpatient center offers extensive clinical programs and technologies. The medical center shares its 130-acre, parklike campus with the Johns Hopkins Asthma & Allergy Center and two of the National Institutes of Health’s clinical research centers.

Howard County General HospitalHoward County General Hospital
Strategically located between Baltimore and Washington, D.C., Howard County General Hospital in Columbia became a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine in 1998, giving this community hospital resources to improve access and expand services for the communities and physicians it serves. This 182-bed comprehensive, acute-care medical center specializes in women’s and children’s services, surgery, cardiology, oncology, orthopedics, gerontology, psychiatry, emergency services, and community health education. Its pediatric emergency department ranked in the 95th percentile nationally for patient satisfaction, and the hospital continues to expand by building additional facilities and adding more specialized services and physicians.

Johns Hopkins Community Physicians
Johns Hopkins Community Physicians (JHCP) serves primary medical care needs through a network of 15 medical practices statewide. This kind of community-based health care is convenient and affordable for diverse groups of patients: those with private commercial insurance or medical assistance, or who are part of a unique contract for military beneficiaries through the Department of Defense called the US Family Health Plan.  JHCP provides internal medicine, family practice, pediatrics and Ob/Gyn services, as well as a wide range of other primary care through over 456,000 appointments annually.
