Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center
This full-service academic medical center is home to one of Maryland’s most comprehensive neonatal intensive care units, a sleep disorders center, an areawide trauma center, the state’s only regional burn center and geriatrics programs that enjoy a national reputation in the field of aging. A state-of-the-art outpatient center offers extensive clinical programs and technologies. The medical center shares its 130-acre, parklike campus with the Johns Hopkins Asthma and Allergy Center and two of the National Institutes of Health’s clinical research centers. Howard County General Hospital
Howard County General Hospital became a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine in 1998, allowing this community hospital to improve access and expand services for the communities and physicians it serves. The hospital is a 182-bed comprehensive, acute care medical center that specializes in women’s and children’s services, surgery, cardiology, oncology, orthopaedics, gerontology, psychiatry, emergency services and community health education. Its pediatric emergency department ranked in the 95th percentile nationally for patient satisfaction, and the hospital continues to expand by building additional facilities and adding more specialized services and physicians. Johns Hopkins Community Physicians
Johns Hopkins Community Physicians (JHCP) provides health care at 39 primary and specialty care outpatient sites throughout Maryland and Washington, D.C. JHCP offers the convenience of community-based health care and the quality, innovation, and comprehensive approach that people expect from Johns Hopkins. Along with family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics and gyn/ob services, JHCP has physicians and clinicians who specialize in a wide range of medical and surgical areas, from acupuncture and gastroenterology to podiatry and urology. Sibley Memorial Hospital
Sibley Memorial Hospital, which became of member of Johns Hopkins Medicine in 2010, has a distinguished history of serving the community since its founding in 1890. As a not-for-profit, full-service, 318-bed community hospital, Sibley offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopaedic and skilled nursing inpatient services, and a 24-hour Emergency Department. Suburban Hospital is a community-based, not-for-profit hospital serving Montgomery County and the surrounding area since 1943. The 233-bed hospital, which became a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine in 2009, is an acute care medical-surgical hospital offering all major services except obstetrics. Suburban has the distinction of having a strategic partnership with the National Institutes of Health, among other organizations, and is the designated trauma center for Montgomery County.
