Intrastaff Employment: Temporary Employment Status Statement

Intrastaff Employment: Temporary Employment Status Statement

Intrastaff is a temporary staffing service for placement of clinical and non-clinical personnel for the Johns Hopkins Health System. Consistent with Intrastaff policies, the following conditions apply to employees with temporary status.

  1. All Intrastaff appointments are non-permanent. Schedules are variable and there is no guarantee to be scheduled to work.
  2. It is understood and agreed that employees are expected to contact INTRASTAFF after completing an assignment to determine if there is work available. It is agreed that if the employee does not continue to contact INTRASTAFF at least every six (6) months, Intrastaff will understand that the employee is not available and will be placed on "leave of absence" status. Should it be desired to return to "active" status after six (6) months, it may be required that an annual update of forms and/or Occupational Health clearance be completed and obtained.
  3. Workmen's Compensation Insurance is provided.
  4. Professional Liability Insurance is provided.
  5. Malpractice Insurance is provided, only if clinical.
  6. Appointees are not entitled to the usual regular employee benefits such as paid holidays, paid vacation, sick leave, etc.
  7. INTRASTAFF employment can be terminated at any time.
