Faculty

Helpful Information

All incoming, tenure-track, Faculty members will be issued H1B1 visa status.* For clinical Faculty appointments the applicant must include a copy of his/her Maryland Medical License for the H1B1 application. Applying for the H1B1 can be a lengthy process, the OIS requests 3-6 months notice for all H1B1 applications.

For all non-tenured Faculty members, i.e, Visiting Scientists or Instrutors, the OIS recommends you apply for a J1 visa. Our office will issue the Ds-2019 for your Visa Stamp application.
