Helpful Information

All incoming Residents and Clinical Fellows from Foreign Medical Schools will be sponsored for J1 ECFMG status. It is JHMI policy for all Foreign Medical Graduates to be sponsored by ECFMG. All US Medical Graduates will be elligible for clinical H1B1 sponsorship by JHMI.*

  • Rotators

    All non-Citizen Rotators must first check in with the OIS before registering with the School of Medicine at JHMI. You must bring all of your original Visa documents as well as a Letter of Good Standing from your Institution. If you fail to bring the necessary paperwork you will be unable to register. If you have any questions please contact the OIS directly.

    Moonlighting

    JHMI and ECFMG have a very strict policy against Moonlighting. J1 ECFMG and H1B1 visa holders are inelligible to Moonlight. There are no exceptions.
