Amber works alongside the Research Manager to coordinate and implement research projects within the Division of Interventional Neuroradiology. She works closely with faculty to assist with developing human subjects research protocols, consent forms, and patient education material. Amber works directly with the Johns Hopkins Internal Review Board (JH-IRB) and the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center (SKCCC) on the design of our various studies. Amber also liaises closely with regulatory personnel at the FDA for clinical trial maintenance.
Amber is the lead coordinator for the Division’s two IND clinical trials (Phase I & II respectively) - Intra-arterial Chemotherapy for the Treatment of Intraocular Retinoblastoma and Intra-arterial Chemotherapy for the Treatment of Progressive Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Gliomas (DIPG). Both trials are currently enrolling patients.
Amber coordinates and manages our Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology Program, which is accredited by The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
