Jose Solis-Padilla

As director for global services at Johns Hopkins Medicine International, Mr. Solis-Padilla leads projects and business development efforts in the Caribbean, Mexico, and Central and South America. He oversees a portfolio of projects in Bermuda (population health management), Panama (hospital affiliation), Mexico (academic collaboration) and Peru (health system consulting and cancer center affiliation).

He joined Johns Hopkins Medicine International in 2013 with ample experience working in medical academic centers and international health systems. Since 2003, he has progressively built experience in business development, relationship management, strategy development and execution of transformational health care projects globally.

Having worked for a decade in the consulting, manufacturing and telecommunications industries in Mexico before moving to the United States, he developed an interest and a passion for international business.

Before joining Johns Hopkins Medicine International, Mr. Solis spent 10 years leading the development and management of strategic global collaborations, business development and patient services for Houston Methodist Hospital in Texas. He was specifically focused on the transformation of its health services delivery model for patients coming from the Americas, Europe and Asia.

He is a founding member of a mentorship program for graduate students at the University of St. Thomas and is an active member of the Alumni Society of the Cameron School of Business, the Project Management Institute, the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Institute for Mexicans Abroad.

Mr. Solis-Padilla holds a public accounting degree from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico in Mexico City and an M.B.A. from the University of St. Thomas in Houston.
