The Department of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) serves Johns Hopkins Health System and University. The Department is responsible for promoting the health and safety of the Johns Hopkins community through effective occupational and environmental management practices.HSE provides services and leadership in the areas of medical surveillance and environmental monitoring, the treatment of occupational illness and injuries, fire safety, biological safety, chemical safety, laboratory safety, facility and equipment safety, employee safety training programs and the payment and adjudication of worker’s compensation claims

Organization Development
The Organization Development organization is a group within the Human Resources Department. The Organization Development and Training Consultants and Supporting Staff work with departments to improve teamwork and group effectiveness, encourage individual and group growth and manage the change process. Key to this function is support for the Manager/Supervisor development programs.
The Organization Development group supports:
- Managerial Consulting
- Assessment Diagnosis
- Group Process Consultation and Facilitation
- Design and Development of Improvement Strategies
- Group, meeting, and problem-solving facilitation
- Team Building
- Consultation on the Design and Delivery of Customized Department Training
- Referrals to Operational and Administrative Support

Johns Hopkins Health System SAP Training
The Johns Hopkins Health System (JHHS) SAP Training team offers a wide variety of classroom and informal on-the-job training. Events are free and open to Health System and School of Medicine employees.
JHHS SAP offers regular training events, and also holds on-site coaching events with single departments or functional units.

Clinical Information Systems Education Center (CISEC)
The Clinical Information Systems Education Center (CISEC) is at 2024 E. Monument St., Suite B-1000, which is across the street from the Credit Union. Four state-of-the art classrooms equipped with new computers, LCD projectors and classroom management software will be available to teach staff, faculty, and students about Eclipsys SCM (POE and clinical documentation), ORMIS, HMED and more.
