Sheryl Martin, OMD, L.Ac., RN, is a doctor of Oriental Medicine, licensed acupuncturist, and registered nurse. She graduated from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, in San Diego, California and earned her doctorate from Samra University of Oriental Medicine in Los Angeles, California.
Sheryl has been a registered nurse for more than 30 years with specialties in women’s health, chronic pain management and psychiatry. She has been practicing traditional Chinese medicine for more than 20 years, and has served on the faculty at the Maryland Institute for Traditional Chinese Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland, and the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. She served two consecutive terms on the Maryland State Board of Acupuncture.
Sheryl speaks both locally and nationally on varied health topics such as chronic pain management, natural hormonal regulation, and how to integrate the principles of Chinese medicine into daily life. She is a regular guest lecturer to students of the Johns Hopkins University and the School of Nursing.
