Types of Studies Reviewed by the JHU/WIRB

Effective January 1, 2007, all new applications for human subjects research must be submitted to the JHM IRBs for review. No new applications will be submitted to WIRB unless they were received in the JHM OHSR prior to January 1, 2007.

The JHM IRB will continue its contractual relationship with WIRB as they will continue to review amendments, change in investigators, continuing reviews, etc. for studies originally approved by them. WIRB will continue to bill sponsors for their review of studies, unless alternate billing/payment arrangements have been approved by the JHM/WIRB Administrative Coordinator.
