Continuing Education

Learning

The Institute for Johns Hopkins Nursing provides continuing education for nurses, nurse practitioners, and other health care providers. We combine creative teaching strategies with relevant and current content. Our continuing nursing education programs are designed to meet your needs and accommodate your schedule.

Course Catalog

For professional nurses, continuing education is essential to safe and effective nursing care. The amount of knowledge required to take care of patients cannot be obtained simply through experience on the unit or at the bedside. The current emphasis on competency in health care means that there will be increasing emphasis on the need to demonstrate ongoing education and competency. Our continuing education courses are designed to keep you updated about current and cutting-edge clinical practice.

Nurses must learn constantly, not only through observation and experience but also by seeking new knowledge and new evidence.
