
Conte Center
Named for the late Silvio Conte, a Massachusetts congressman and champion of the National Institute of Mental Health’s “Decade of the Brain” program in the 1990s, Conte Centers support collaborative neuroscience research that potentially will translate into treatments for mental illnesses.
Center for Excellence in Genomic Science
The CEGS at Hopkins is an extramural research program funded by the National Human Genome Research Institute and National Institute of Mental Health at the National Institutes of Health. The program assembles interdisciplinary teams dedicated to making critical advances in genomic research.
Ion Channel Center
Funded by a Roadmap grant from the National Institute of Mental Health branch of the National Institutes of Health, the center works with researchers around the country to identify molecular probes that can bind and regulate the tiny protein channels that allow small nutrients into and out of cells.
Technology Center for Networks and Pathways of Lysine Modification
One of several National Technology Centers for Networks and Pathways program funded by the National Institutes of Health. The center aims to develop new technologies to comprehensively examine proteins' interactions in systems ranging from yeast to human cells and operates as part of the IBBS High Throughput (HiT) Biology Center.
