David B. Hellmann, M.D was appointed the Aliki Perroti Professor of Medicine at Johns Hopkins University on April 27, 2006. Mrs. Aliki Perroti, whose philanthropic efforts are renowned, gave $2.5 million to support Dr. Hellmann in his role as the Director of the Center for Innovative Medicine.
