- Key elements of an effective hand hygiene promotion program
- How to monitor hand hygiene and report on compliance in formats that drive change in your hospital

Introduction to the Johns Hopkins Comprehensive Unit-Based Patient Safety Program (CUSP)
August 4, 2009, 12 noon - 1 p.m. U.S. EST –
In 2002 Johns Hopkins instituted a program whereby staff (i.e., nurses, physicians, hospital administrators and other allied health care professionals) from different hospital units were empowered to work more closely and make changes to improve patient safety and quality of care. They were driven to work on one defect in the unit per month. Since the program started, we've expanded it to cover most of the hospital units and have seen significant declines in ventilated associated pneumonia, blood stream infection, reduction in the length of stay, among other improvements. This webinar will provide an introduction to CUSP.
Speaker: Lori Paine, RN, MS, Director of Patient Safety.
