In addition to conducting Green Belt and Black Belt Lean Sigma Prescription for Healthcare® training, the Center for Innovation also provides coaching and consulting services on Lean Sigma project selection/implementation and rapid cycle (typically 2-5 days) improvements using Kaizen methodology.
For Lean Sigma we could assist your organization in anyone of the following ways:
- Provide onsite training for up to 22 of your hospital staff
- Assistance with project selection
- Coaching during the Lean Sigma Phase of one or more projects
The consulting may be provided in a number of ways including onsite visits, webinars and video- or tele-conference calls.
For Kaizen, the Center for Innovation consultants could assist with project selection and tools necessary to very quickly impact the specific area/project chosen. This is accomplished in a one week visit and a few preparation calls prior to the Kaizen event. For example, in one instance our team was able to significantly increase the efficiency in the Johns Hopkins Hospital adult chemotherapy pharmacy by reducing the number of feet it takes to process an order (from 223 to 53 feet per order).
