Stationed at last in their labs without walls, researchers from the four divisions of ICE are meeting and sharing ideas.

At first glance, the laboratories on the sixth and seventh floors of the new research building on Broadway look like others on campus. The shelves are stocked with the same vials, books and glassware; high-tech equipment whirs on the lab benches, and graduate students and postdoctoral fellows hover. But there’s something missing: walls.
