What is Innergy?
Innergy is a convenient and highly personalized approach to lasting weight loss that was created in collaboration with Johns Hopkins that combines regular phone calls from health coaches and website support to help participants set realistic goals, eat healthfully and address issues such as stress that can trigger overeating. It’s confidential, voluntary and designed to help you reach a healthier weight through lifestyle changes that become lifelong habits.
The coach will be there every step of the way to help participants set realistic goals and change their eating habits. Employees who participate also have access to an interactive website with tools to track their weight and manage their progress.
Employees who enroll during the first year will be charged a discounted of rate of $11.54 per paycheck. The program will not be initially available to Johns Hopkins Health System employees of Sibley Hospital, Suburban Hospital, Howard County General Hospital and All Children’s Hospital.

If You Don’t Qualify for Innergy
In this first year of Innergy’s availability, the program closely reflects the criteria of the clinical trials upon which Innergy is based. In those trials, the study participants’ BMI was 30 or greater. We anticipate that as the program matures, those whose BMI is less than 30 will also have an opportunity to enroll.
