Employees of JHHSC/JHH may enroll in an optional pre-paid legal plan which offers access to legal services for almost all personal legal matters. This benefit is provided by Hyatt Legal Plans, a MetLife company.
Employees receive the special group rate of $15/month, which is deducted from your paycheck through the end of the plan year (December 31).
How the plan works
As a Hyatt Legal Plan member, you’ll have access to a national network of more than 10,000 attorneys. You may even use your own attorney and be reimbursed according to a set fee schedule.
Attorney fees are fully paid for by the plan when you use a plan attorney. There are no limits on the number of times you may use the plan, and there are no dollar limits on your use of a plan attorney. You have access to a variety of legal services related to the following:

- Debt matters
- Defense of civil lawsuits
- Document preparation
- Document review
- Family law
- Real estate matters
- Traffic matters/criminal
- Wills and estate planning
