Legal Assistance (Hyatt Legal Plan)

Employees of JHHSC/JHH may enroll in an optional pre-paid legal plan which offers access to legal services for almost all personal legal matters. This benefit is provided by Hyatt Legal Plans, a MetLife company.

Employees receive the special group rate of $15/month, which is deducted from your paycheck through the end of the plan year (December 31).

How the plan works

As a Hyatt Legal Plan member, you’ll have access to a national network of more than 10,000 attorneys. You may even use your own attorney and be reimbursed according to a set fee schedule.

Attorney fees are fully paid for by the plan when you use a plan attorney. There are no limits on the number of times you may use the plan, and there are no dollar limits on your use of a plan attorney. You have access to a variety of legal services related to the following:

  • Adoption Assistance
  • Consumer protection
  • Debt matters
  • Defense of civil lawsuits
  • Document preparation
  • Document review
  • Family law
  • Immigration
  • Real estate matters
  • Traffic matters/criminal
  • Wills and estate planning

Additional information

For information on the legal plan, including specific covered services, exclusions and how to locate an attorney, visit the Hyatt Legal Plans website and enter the password 1380010 to see information specific to JHHSC/JHH employees.

Want to enroll? Employees may sign up for the legal plan when newly hired or during the annual open enrollment.
