The Rouse Company Foundation -- Committed to Bringing You "the Best"

Having been an icon in its own industry, the former Rouse Company—by way of its foundation—recognizes and supports organizations that are best in class.  A recent gift of $2 million to aid Howard County General Hospital's Campus Development Plan demonstrates the Rouse Company Foundation's commitment to bringing the best in healthcare to our community. As Margaret Mauro, the Foundation's Vice President, explains, “The Rouse Company Foundation views its role primarily as one of investing in a community in ways that help sustain the best among its institutions.  Howard County General Hospital is a primary example of that kind of institution.”  About the decision to support the hospital's expansion, she adds, “The Rouse Company's long history in Howard County gave its foundation Trustees insight into the needs of the community.  While we no longer have offices in Howard County, we remain committed to its citizens, especially those in need.”   Howard Hospital Foundation's Chair Evelyn Bolduc notes, “The Rouse Company Foundation is a standard bearer of philanthropy, and we are honored that they continue to invest in the community by investing in the hospital. Their generous gift is the largest to date in our Campus Development Plan fundraising efforts.”
